I’m Surya, the experimental soapmaker and blogger behind Biossence—here to help you explore the art of crafting beautiful handmade soaps with creativity, confidence, and ease.

My journey with soapmaking began in 2016 as a therapeutic escape during early motherhood. A local hobby class sparked my fascination, and soon I was experimenting with ingredients and techniques—learning from mistakes and refining my craft. By 2017, I was working from my home studio and sharing the joy of soapmaking through hands-on workshops. From 2018 to 2022, I ran a small-batch soap business on Instagram, fulfilling custom, wholesale, and white-label orders. By 2022, teaching called me back, and I began mentoring students worldwide through online courses. In 2024, I had to pause to support my health and reflect on what mattered most. 

Now, in late 2025, I’ve returned to focus on sharing my soapmaking journey here on the blog. My online courses and in-person classes are still available on demand, but this space is where I pour my passion for creativity, teaching, and sharing knowledge with others.
